HTC has sent out media invites for an event in New York City on August 19. While the invite doesn t reveal much, the company is expected to unveil the Windows Phone version of the flagship One (M8), GSMArena reports. The smartphone, reportedly called HTC One (M8) for Windows, is essentially a Windows Phone 8.1 version of the flagship device. It will feature all the specifications of the One (M8) including the BoomSound speakers and the Duo Camera setup at the back. Also Read - HTC Wildfire E Lite listed on Google Play Console
So what we can expect is a 5-inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 441ppi, 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, Duo-camera with 4-Ultrapixel primary camera with an additional depth sensor, 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 2,600mAh battery.
The smartphone is also rumored to be running on Windows Phone 8.1 Update 1, which brings in a host of new features including support for interactive cases. This means, HTC would also be able to sell its DotView case, which it launched alongside the One (M8).
The device however is said to be a Verizon exclusive initially, with no word on when it could available in other markets.
