HTC today launched the One M9+ and the One E9+ in India. Both the smartphones were unveiled in China earlier this year, and India gets to be one of the few countries where the company has decided to launch the smartphones first. We know that the One M9+ is priced at Rs 52,500 and is launching on May 3, however the One E9+ is coming later in May with the price not yet revealed. There is not much difference in both the smartphones when it comes to specifications except for a slight few. Here’s how the One M9+ is different from the One E9+. The One E9+ sports a slightly bigger 5.5-inch display compared to the 5.2-inch on the One M9+. Apart from that, both the smartphones sport the same QHD (2560×1440 pixels) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Both the smartphones are powered by a MediaTek octa-core chipset, but where the One M9+ features a MT6795T chipset, the One E9+ features a MT6795M chipset. Furthermore, the processor on the former is paired with 3GB of RAM, while the one of the latter is paired with 2GB. The in-built memory is possibly the biggest difference. The HTC One M9+ offers 32GB of storage while the One E9+ offers 16GB of storage. Both the smartphones offer expandable memory slots of up to 128GB.
Both the smartphones boast a 4-Ultrapixel selfie camera up front, but things are quite different at the back. The One M9+ has a Duo Camera setup with a 20-megapixel snapper along with a depth sensor. The One E9+, on the other hand, only has a standalone 20-megapixel snapper.
The battery is not a huge difference, but the E9+ lacks here with a 2,800mAh battery, while the One M9+ has a slightly higher 2,840mAh battery.
Another major differentiating factor between the two is on the connectivity front. While both the smartphones support LTE, the One E9+ comes with dual-SIM card slots, while the One M9+ has to make do with only one.
The One M9+ also has a physical home button up front, which has a fingerprint scanner integrated with it. The One E9+ however has no such feature.
