HTC’s rumored 6-inch phablet variant of its flagship device the One has been spotted in a number of alleged photos leaked by Nowhereelse. These leaked images give a better picture of the One Max, which will take the HTC One legacy forward by following a similar sort of design language along with a better set of features. It is clear by the images that the HTC One Max looks strikingly similar to the original One and the HTC One mini, and features the same brushed aluminum metallic finished chassis with a polycarbonate strip on the sides, and dual speakers on the front panel.
In terms of hardware specifications, the leaked information suggests that the phablet will come with a 5.9-inch 1080p display and will be powered by the new Snapdragon 800 chipset with a quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400 processor, Adreno 330 graphics and 2GB of RAM. Like the other two models in the series – the One and the One Mini, the One Max is also rumored to flaunt the 4-ultrapixel camera with OIS, along with 16GB of expandable memory and a 3,300mAh battery. On the software front, the phablet will most likely run the latest version of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5.5 UI on top.
The rumors of HTC working on a phablet have been buzzing in the tech circuit for quite some time now, and have accelerated with Samsung’s Galaxy Note III launch approaching soon.
