HTC is apparently working on a new smartphone under its One series. Successor to the HTC One X9, the HTC One X10 was first detailed in January when serial leakster Evan Blass posted a tweet about the smartphone. A month later, we have the first look of the HTC One X10, thanks to a newly leaked image of the smartphone, giving us a glimpse into phone s features and appearance. Although there have been leaks about the purported HTC smartphone earlier, the accompanying images did not detail a real device but instead showed off what appeared to be press renders. The latest image, however, shows off the smartphone as it would appear after unboxing, with the screen protector sheet on top. Based on the image, there will be thin side bezels and navigation touch buttons will be placed at the lower end of the phone. The power key will be placed on the right side. In line with the previous HTC One smartphones, the One X10 is expected to be a mid-range smartphone. It is widely speculated that the smartphone will show up at the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona and hit the stores sometime in the first quarter of 2017.
HTC One X10 specifications and features
The HTC One X10 is likely to bring in some improvements over the older One X9. It is expected to feature an all-metal body and house a rear fingerprint sensor. It is expected to boast a 5.5-inch full HD LCD display. Under the hood, the HTC One X10 is likely to be powered by MediaTek MT6755 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.9GHz and paired with Mali-T860 GPU, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. In the photography segment, the HTC One X10 is expected to come with a 16-megapixel rear camera along with an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. Details on the smartphone s battery capacity and connectivity options are scarce as of now. It is expected that the smartphone will be priced somewhere around $288 (approximately Rs 20,000).
In comparison, the HTC One X9, which was launched at a price of Rs 25,990, features a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 1080 pixels) display and is powered by a 2.2GHz MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor paired with 3GB of RAM. On the photography front, the One X9 comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, optical image stabilization (OIS) and 4K video recording capabilities. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel ultrapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and full HD (1080p) video recording capabilities.
