Coinciding with the launch of Windows Phone 7.5, HTC launched its first Windows Phone 7.5 smartphone, the Radar, in India. The Radar features a 3.8-inch WVGA (480X800 pixels) SLCD display, a 1GHz Qualcomm processor and 512MB RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage (6.54GB available) but has no microSD card slot. Its 5.0 MP rear camera can shoot videos in 720p resolution while the VGA front camera is good enough just for the occasional video call. The Radar features HTC’s unibody design, which feels super sturdy and premium. Its 1520 mAh non-removable battery is claimed to provide up to 10 hours of talktime on GSM and up to 8 hours on 3G. Unlike Android, where there is a noticeable difference between 1GHz processor/512MB RAM and a 1GHz processor/1GB RAM configurations, we could not see any lag/sluggishness with the Radar. That’s probably got to do with the Windows Phone 7.5 platform. Unlike the Samsung Omnia W, which feels plasticky, HTC has done a remarkable job with the hardware build and quality. Well, that’s all we have for the moment, till our review which should be up in the coming days. Also Read - 7.5 awesome features of Windows Phone 7.5
