HTC is working on a new smartphone under the codename Ocean Life . Reports suggest that the smartphone will be called U11 Life, and it is expected to launch later this year. According to the leak spotted by Android Police, the HTC U11 Life is expected to feature a 5.2-inch full HD display. The smartphone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 630 SoC paired with 3GB and 4GB of RAM. Also on offer will be 32GB and 64GB of internal storage options.
On the camera front, the U11 Life will come with 16-megapixel front and back cameras with Phase Detection Auto Focus support, and LED flash. Keeping the smartphone ticking will be a 2,600mAh battery. Apart from this, the phone might also include Edge Sense squeezing gesture, U-Sonic headphones, and IP67 water and dust resistance. The Edge Sense feature will be the USP of this phone as well. The feature lets you perform various tasks such as clicking pictures and quick access to apps with a squeeze on the edges of the smartphone.
Moving on, the HTC U11 Life is said to run on Android Oreo out-of-the-box. Reports also suggest that HTC U11 Life might be the first Android One device to ship with Oreo. The Mi A1 and Moto X4 currently run on Android Nougat with a guaranteed upgrade to Oreo by the end of the year.
