After the launch of Huawei Mate 20 series, now the Chinese company has announced its latest Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 test beta build program for nine Huawei smartphones. The information was shared by Huawei through its official Weibo channel in China.
As per the Weibo post, the list includes six Huawei and three Honor phones which include Mate 10, Mate 10 Porsche Edition, Mate 10 Pro, Mate RS Porsche Design, Huawei P20, P20 Pro, Honor 10, Honor V10 and Honor Play.
Huawei has also noted that the slot for latest Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9.0 test beta build program will only be available to 5,000 users per device, which means each total of 45,000 devices will be part of this program under testing.
All these smartphones are powered by the Kirin 970 chipset. To note, Huawei is already shipping the EMUI 9.0 out-of-the-box with Mate 20 series which feature company’s HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC.
To join the program, eligible device owners will require to upgrade the Beta Tester app to its latest version 188.8.131.52, and then Upgrade Early Adoption (via GSMArena). The EMUI 9 focuses on speed and simplicity, and will also bring a number of improvements related to performance, bug fixes, and visual changes too. The company also mentioned that it will bring Google’s Digital Wellbeing feature, faster gaming and a more streamlined UI.

Huawei has already announced that EMUI 9.0 is coming to India. It’ll incorporate India-specific features and localized capabilities. The features of EMUI 9.0 will include enhanced language support (for up to 28 languages), a better-designed local calendar, and most importantly, deeper integration of Paytm with the UI overlay.
