Expanding its ever-growing mobile portfolio even further, Huawei has launched a new smartphone in China. Dubbed Enjoy 9, the smartphone is a slightly toned-down variant of Enjoy 9 Plus, which Huawei launched back in October.

A lower mid-range smartphone, Huawei Enjoy 9 is surprisingly powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC, and not one of Huawei’s own Kirin chipsets. The silicon is paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. There’s Android 8.1 Oreo on-board, with EMUI 8.2 overlay baked on top. Huawei Enjoy 9 has a 6.26-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1520 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The display features a ‘waterdrop’ style notch, which is increasingly becoming the next big thing in the world of notched smartphones.

For imaging duties, the Enjoy 9 has a dual-lens camera system on the back. It’s comprised of a 13-megapixel (f/1.8) primary sensor and a 2-megapixel (f/2.4) depth sensor, complete with and LED flash and Full-HD video recording support. Up front, There’s a single 8-megapixel (f/2.0) for selfies and video calls.

Despite being a budget smartphone, Huawei Enjoy 9 has all standard connectivity options, including Wi-Fi, GPS, and microUSB. Oddly though, there’s no fingerprint sensor. Instead, the smartphone relies on face unlock for user authentication. The whole package is backed by a big 4,000mAh battery, but as you’d expect, there’s no fast charging support.
