Huawei unveiled the Honor Play and the Honor 9i earlier in the month in China. One of the key highlights of the phones is the GPU Turbo technology, which the company claims can increase performance of the device by 60 percent, while also reducing battery consumption by 30 percent. Being a vital feature, Huawei promised to bring the technology to other smartphones through software updates. With the technology, Huawei plans to improve gaming performance on its mid-range and high-end phones. Since Honor devices run the same CPU as Huawei smartphones, it s possible for the company to bring the feature to Honor smartphones as well. Besides Honor 10, the feature is also expected to come to the entire Mate 10 series, Honor V10, Huawei P20 Pro and some other smartphones.
