Huawei’s sub-brand is reportedly launching Honor 8C in India after recent China launch. According to IANS, Honor will be launching the Honor 8C “in the coming week”. The smartphone went official in China last month in two variants.
The base model of Honor 8C with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM was priced at RMB 1,099, which roughly translates to Rs 11,000, however it could be different for India considering the competition is much fierce here.
Honor 8C specifications, features
As far as specifications are concerned, the Honor 8C flaunts a 6.26-inch HD+ (1520×720 pixels) display with 19:9 aspect ratio, and a notch at the top. Under the hood is a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC paired with 506GPU. The built-in memory on the device is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the Honor 8C is equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back. This setup includes a 13-megapixel f/1.8 primary sensor, and 2-megapixel f/2.4 secondary sensor. For selfies, the device comes with an 8-megapixel f/2.4 sensor.

For security, there’s a fingerprint sensor placed at the back below the camera module. Making sure everything ticks is a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and GLONASS. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMIUI 8.2.
