After initial leaks around the Honor Magic 2, in the run up to the expected launch on October 31, we now have 3D renders that have leaked, revealing the back of the device. These renders were leaked on Chinese social networking site Weibo by “C Technology”.
According to the previous leaks and rumors, the Honor Magic 2 is expected to boast a Graphene-film cooled battery, similar to the one shown by Huawei during the Mate 20 event.
In terms of specifications, the Honor Magic 2 is rumored to feature a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2880×1440 pixels and a sliding camera mechanism that includes a selfie-lens, proximity sensor, earpiece and more to achieve over 95 percent screen-to-body ratio. At IFA 2018, Huawei announced Kirin 980, its newest flagship processor based on the 7nm process will get equipped on the Honor Magic 2.
The leaked render reveals the back of the device and gives us a glimpse of the camera with four-rear lens modules on the same position as the Huawei P20 Pro. Four cameras on the device could mean that one sensor is for 2X or 3X optical zoom, and the second one functioning as a wide-angle lens. The third sensor would be standard having the highest megapixel count, while the last sensor which is separate from the others could be a monochrome lens. All the four-rear camera would improve the images further by AI-optimizations.
The rear of the leaked Honor Magic 2 looks similar to the Huawei P20 Pro, with the same gradient color styling. The device is already up for pre-order in China (at JD.com). Its launch outside China and eventual sale in any other country is still a mystery, and will be known only closer to its launch.
