Huawei is gearing up to launch its upcoming flagship, the Huawei Mate 20 in the market in coming weeks. The device will serve as the successor to the Mate 10 that the company launched in October last year. Similar to last year, Mate 20 will not be the only device that the company will launch at the event. According to a new report, the company is planning to launch a new device in the market along with the Mate 20. This device could be the successor to the Mate RS Porsche Design that it launched earlier this year in March.

Huawei is likely to add the top of the line hardware in the device along with a design that may or may not be similar to the Mate 20. The report by PhoneArena also pointed out that the internal code name of the device will be “Everest” along with model name along the lines of “EVR-XXX”. This information was first tweeted by tipster Roland Quandt who noted that “Everest” will launch along with the Mate 20.

However, he also noted that it is unclear if this device will be the Porsche Design edition or an even larger variant of the Mate 20 series.

The device may pack the Kirin 980 along with 512GB internal storage and at least 6GB RAM. The report also pointed out that the device may come with a triple-camera setup on the back of the device.

Porsche Design may follow up with the in-display fingerprint scanner in the device which is similar to the hardware that we saw in the Mate RS Porsche Design. Though, it is possible that the device may not come with the fingerprint scanner on the back of the device.
