Huawei has launched a new smartphone, and no, it doesn’t feature just a simple dual-camera setup, but more on that later. Called Maimang 6, the smartphone has been launched in China and is the successor to last year s Maimang 5. The phone is priced at RMB 2,399, which is Rs 23,600 approximately. The company has already put it up for pre-orders and it will be made available starting September 30. The smartphone is available in Gold, Black, and Blue colors variants. While the world is busy launching dual-camera smartphones, Huawei has launched the Maimang 6 with four cameras. Yes, you read it right. It comes with a dual-camera setup for both the front and rear, which also is also the smartphone’s USP. In terms of resolutions, the phone comes with a 16-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel to capture depth information. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel front camera with a secondary 2-megapixel camera.
Apart from the camera, the smartphone flaunts a 5.9-inch Full HD+ 18:9 2.5D curved glass display with minimal bezels. It has a unibody metal design, features a fingerprint sensor at the back.

In terms of specifications, the smartphone features a 5.9-inch (2160 x 1080 pixels) display. Under the hood, it is powered by an octa-core Kirin 659 SoC with MaliT830-MP2 GPU and 4GB RAM. Also on offer is 64GB internal memory which can be expanded by up to 256GB with a microSD card. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat on top of EMUI 5.1 out-of-the-box. The Maimang 6 is likely to be introduced globally as the Huawei Mate 10 Lite next month. The launch will happen alongside the launch of its flagship devices, the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. The Mate 10 is scheduled to launch on October 16. The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.9-inch EntireView display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Both the smartphones are rumored to pack a 4,200mAh battery. On the software front, the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro will most likely run Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
