Huawei has sent out media invites for a launch event on October 16 in Berlin, where it is expected to launch the Mate 10. While last week the company confirmed that the device will pack a 4,000mAh battery and will be powered by the latest Kirin 970 SoC, the latest leak shows what the front of the upcoming smartphone could look like. Spotted by Androidheadline, the image reveals only the upper half of what is expected to be the Mate 10. The panel shows cutouts for the front-facing camera, an earpiece and a proximity sensor. There is another cutout at the top, but it is not clear what it could be for. While rumors so far have been suggesting that Huawei will launch three variants of the Mate 10, the latest leaks suggests otherwise. The company is likely to launch the Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, Mate 10 Porsche Edition (special edition) and Mate 10 Lite. Needless to say, the Mate 10 Porche edition will be the most expensive of the lot.
The Huawei Mate 10 is also expected to come in three variants 64GB storage with 4GB RAM priced at RMB 4,299 (approximately Rs 42,100), 128GB storage with 6GB RAM priced at RMB 4,899 (approximately Rs 47,900), and the 256GB variant with 6GB RAM priced at RMB 5,599 (approximately Rs 54,800).
The Mate 10 Pro, on the other hand, is rumored to launch in four storage variants. The 64GB storage is said to be priced at RMB 5,499 (approximately Rs 53,800), the 128GB storage model might be priced at RMB 6,199 (approximately Rs 60,700), and 256GB variant at RMB 6,899 (approximately Rs 67,500). These three variants will feature 6GB of RAM. The high-end variant which will come with 256GB storage and 8GB of RAM will be priced at RMB 7,499 (approximately Rs 73,400). In terms of specifications, Huawei is said to follow the current trend of 18:9 aspect ratio displays for the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro. While the smartphones will come with the same chipset, the Pro variant is rumored to be backed by a 4,200mAh battery. The camera resolutions of the Mate 10 Pro is not yet known, and that on the Mate 10 will be a combination of 12-megapixel RGB sensor and a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor.
