Huawei is all set to unveil the Mate 10 smartphone on October 16. As seen earlier, the smartphone is said to get two other variants as well – the Mate 10 Lite and the Mate 10 Pro. While there is no official word on the two from the company yet, press renders of the purported Huawei Mate 10 Pro has leaked ahead of the official launch. Notably, the leaked image cleverly hints at Mate 10 Pro being powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). The leaked image was posted by tipster Evan Blass, and it shows the Mate 10 Pro in full glory revealing key details on its design and other features. As per the image, the Mate 10 Pro can be seen featuring Leica powered dual-camera setup at the back after all. The duo-tone back of the smartphone looks interesting as the dual-camera setup is vertically aligned inside the contrasting band with Leica branding added. As Huawei s CEO Richard Yu had earlier confirmed, the smartphone will come with a bezel-less display. The Mate 10 Pro in the leaked image flaunts a big display with almost no bezels on the side. While the top chip houses earpiece, front camera and other sensors, the bottom bezel only carries the Huawei branding. There is no physical home button on the front. An earlier report suggests, the Mate 10 Pro will be powered by Kirin 970 SoC aided by 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is said to come in 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage variants priced at RMB 5,499 (approximately Rs 53,800), RMB 6,199 (approximately Rs 60,700), and RMB 6,899 (approximately Rs 67,500) respectively. There is also said to be another high-end variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage that will be priced at RMB 7,499 (approximately Rs 73,400). To put this into perspective, the Mate 10 is expected to be powered by the same Kirin 970 SoC but will come 4GB and 6GB RAM variants. The Mate 10 with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage could be priced at RMB 4,299 (approximately Rs 42,100). While the 6GB RAM plus 128GB storage variant will be priced at RMB 4,899 (approximately Rs 47,900), and the highest 6GB RAM plus 256GB will be priced at RMB 5,599 (approximately Rs 54,800).
Other rumored features of the Mate 10 Pro include an EntireView display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. The smartphone is said to pack a 4,200mAh battery and is likely to run on Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
