It is no secret that Huawei is planning to launch the Huawei Mate 20 in the coming weeks. The company has not revealed any details about the device including the specifications or the launch date of the device. The device will be the successor of the Mate 10 that the company launched last year. However, it looks like the renders of the Huawei Mate 20 have leaked out on the internet. According to a detailed report by XDA Developers, the leaked renders are actually a recreation of the actual photos of an engineering sample of the device that the publication got to see “from a trusted Chinese source”. The report clarified that the reason the publication opted to create renders for the Mate 20 was to protect the identity of the source. According to the report, the renders indicate that the front of the device will sport a water droplet-like notch ,which is similar to the one that we have seen in the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro. The report also pointed out that the Mate 20 will come with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with 2244×1080 pixels resolution, and a small speaker on the top of the notch. Other renders indicate that the device will come with a 3.5-mm audio jack on the top along with a USB Type-C port, and a speaker grille at the bottom. However, the highlight of the device is that it comes with a triple-camera setup on the back of the device along with an LED flash unit. This is not the first time that we have seen a triple camera setup as the company has already launched its P20 Pro with a triple camera setup.

The report noted that it was not clear about where the logos will be placed on the back side or the shape of the fingerprint scanner because the engineering sample that they saw was covered from the back. The source also indicated that the Mate 20 will come with a glass back as the device required that for wireless charging.
As previously reported, the device is likely to come with Kirin 980 SoC with 6GB RAM, 128GB internal storage, a 4,200mAh battery, and Android 9 Pie-based EMUI.
