Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro will be the successors to last year’s Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro smartphones. The smartphones will build on the legacy of Huawei P20 and P20 Pro smartphones introduced early this year. The smartphones will be powered by Kirin 980, an octa-core CPU based on new 7nm process. The processor should not only be faster than its predecessor Kirin 970 but also offer improvement in the battery department.
Both the smartphones are expected to feature bezel-less design with edge-to-edge display. They are expected to drop the fingerprint sensor at the front seen on the P20 series and will either switch to in-display fingerprint sensor or offer 3D facial recognition technology similar to Apple’s Face ID.
