The Huawei Mate 20 is said to be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 980 SoC, which is rumored to be the first chipset manufactured on 7nm process. While other specifications haven t officially been announced yet, the processor has been suggested to sport eight cores, and maximum clock speeds of 2.8GHz. Not just that, being developed on a 7nm process is also stated to make it 40 percent more power efficient, while boosting its performance by 20 percent, over its predecessors. Besides that, the smartphone is said to come with 6GB of RAM, and 128GB storage. Other features but haven t been revealed yet. The Huawei Mate 20 is also touted to come with a 6.3-inch AMOLED screen. However, a resolution isn t mentioned and neither does the report shed light on the presence of a notch. The smartphone is suggested to come with a 4,000mAh battery, which supports wireless charging. This also means that the device will sport a glass back. Previous reports have suggested the Mate 20 Pro to come with 40W fast charging, so there is a good chance that Mate 20 will feature it as well.
Besides this, XDA-Developers also claims to have acquired firmware files on the Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 Lite, but they aren t said to be as detailed as ones for Mate 20. From that information, the only thing that was confirmed is the presence of an in-display fingerprint sensor on Mate 20 Pro. However, the smartphone can also be expected to come with the same Kirin 980 SoC running under the hood. Reports have also suggested it to come with a 6.9-inch screen. The Mate 20 Lite, on the other hand, is expected to come with the a lower-end processor, which is possibly said to be the Kirin 710 SoC found on the Huawei Nova 3i.

Lastly, the report claims the smartphones to run Android P based on the EMUI 9.0. Significant changes also seem to have been made to the EMUI 9.0 moving from the EMUI 8.2.
