Huawei was expected to share some details about the upcoming Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro at IFA 2018, but that didn’t happen, and instead, the company only shared an official launch date. Now, the Huawei Mate 20 series will be officially unveiled on October 16 at an event in London.
Interestingly, the alleged Huawei Mate 20 was spotted at the IFA show floor. Probably someone from Huawei team had the phone handy for testing and images unveiled the triple rear camera setup just like the previous press renders. The person using the smartphone had a case on it, so the back images could only gave a look at triple rear camera setup placed in square array design with L-shape for lenses and fourth being the big LED flash.
Now there are two new press images of alleged Huawei Mate 20 showcasing two colours – Blue and Black – have surfaced online (via AndroidPure). These images showcase similar glass back design (probably include wireless charging) and Leica camera setup as it was leaked earlier. Previous renders surfaced on the web revealed the water drop style display and the triple camera module on the rear panel.

Some of the leaked specifications of Huawei Mate 20 suggest that the smartphone will likely come with a 6.3-inch display and a waterdrop notch. There will be a triple rear camera setup from LEICA. The battery is tipped as a massive 4,200mAh battery. Other expected specifications tip Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box with latest EMUI 9 skin on top.
