There’s still a month to go before Huawei finally decides to unveil its new flagships the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro smartphones in the market. Till then however, we’ll have to make do with the countless number of leaks and rumors. Now adding to that pile is a new image of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro dummy unit, which sheds light on the sleek design of the smartphone.
The new image spotted by Slashleaks showcases how Huawei is further pushing the boundaries with the bezel-less concept. While the smartphone is already touted to come with dual-curved screen like the Samsung Galaxy S9, the image also reveals it to carry an extremely thin chin at the bottom. This makes the smartphone look pretty sleek with non-existent bezels all around and only the notch showing at the top. The smartphone will definitely be boasting a higher screen-to-body ratio compared to other notch display smartphones in the market.
While there are no other details given, previous rumors have suggested the smartphone to feature an AMOLED display, that will measure 6.5 inches diagonally and carry a QHD+ resolution of 1440 x 3120 pixels. Not just that, it is also said to carry an in-display fingerprint sensor this time around for fingerprint authentication.
Unfortunately, there is no image of the rear panel, but based on recently leaked images, the smartphone is said to carry a triple camera setup at the back, placed within a square housing. The unique camera module will also carry an LED flash alongside the three sensors. That said, the functionality is expected to be on the same lines of the Huawei P20 Pro, which also boasts three cameras at the back.

Underneath the hood, both the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro are touted to come with Huawei’s newly announced Kirin 980 SoC, which is said to be the world’s first 7nm processor. The smartphone is also expected to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. We’re afraid that these are still rumors at this point and we’ll just have to wait and see what Huawei has in stores for us.
