Huawei’s new flagship series, the Mate 20 models, will officially be launched today at an event in London. Hours before its official announcement, the leaks are still revealing more details. Recently its prices and specifications were leaked, now a new post on Weibo reveals that the Huawei Mate 20 series will be offered in 4 models.
Huawei’s main bet would be on the Mate 20 Pro, which may be one of the most significant and noticeable new smartphone of this year. The device is said to feature a 6.39-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. Under the hood will be a Kirin 980 octa-core CPU based on TSMC’s 7nm process and finally a triple rear-camera setup. The smartphone will also come with an in-display fingerprint sensor. The Mate 20, on the other hand, will be a cheaper version of the Mate 20 Pro, with minor differences in features and resolution-size compared to the Pro version.
Alongside these two flagship smartphones, Huawei will launch its new gaming-centric Mate 20X, which is expected to boast a liquid-cooling technology, and a massive 7.21-inch FHD+ OLED display. Under the hood will be Huawei’s newest Kirin 980 SoC. The smartphone could have a few variants to choose from, coming with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB RAM, and up to 512GB of built-in storage. The last Mate 20 series smartphone to be launching alongside these could the Huawei Mate 20 Pro Porsche Edition, featuring a Kirin 980 liquid-cooled CPU, with 512GB of internal memory and 8GB of RAM alongside a huge AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint sensor.
