We are less than a week away from Huawei taking the wraps off its Mate 20 series smartphones. While most of the spotlight has been on the Mate 20 and the Mate 20 Pro, Huawei has now seemingly teased a third device.
The Chinese company has taken to Twitter to tease the third device, which will be called Mate 20X. Going by the teaser, this seems to be a gaming smartphone. The company has hinted at certain features on this upcoming device, which include a large battery, and a new heatpipe to keep the device cool and performance levels up when playing graphic-intensive games.

While there is no official word, the folks at PhoneArena claims that this gaming Mate 20X will feature a massive 7.21-inch FHD+ OLED display, and Huawei’s newest Kirin 980 SoC. The smartphone could have a few variants to choose from that come with 4GB, 6GB or 8GB RAM, and up to 512GB of built-in storage.
While the company already has the Play smartphone under its Honor brand, the Mate 20X will be the first official Huawei gaming device. Apart from top-of-the-line specs and cooling system, the device will no doubt also feature the GPU Turbo tech to boost the overall gaming performance.
