Huawei s flagship device Mate 9 has long been under the rumor radar. Almost every little detail and specification of the Huawei Mate 8 successor has been revealed up till now. And now, in the latest leak, the Mate 9 has been spotted in eight different colors. While every manufacturer releases new smartphones in a variety of colors, but being released in eight colors is quite unusual. The Mate 9 was spotted in a silver, gold, brown, black, two kinds of grey with different finish, pink and a white. But then again, there is no confirmation that the smartphone will actually be launched in all these colors. The leak was spotted by AndroidPure on Weibo. Also, these leaked images once again confirm that the Mate 9 will be featuring a Leica dual-camera setup. The purported images also reveal a large display with a high screen-to-body ratio. From what can be made out from the images, the smartphone will sport an all-metal design. A fingerprint sensor sitting right below the camera can also be seen in the leaked images. Interestingly, details about the Mate 9 had emerged back in April via analyst Pan Jiutang, who claimed the device will be launched by December 2016. The highlight of the rumored smartphone is the dual-camera setup, which we have already seen on a the Huawei P9. Other than that, we already know that the Huawei Mate 9 will be powered by a homegrown Kirin 960 chipset along with 6GB of RAM, and internal storage could be 64GB or 128GB. On the photography front, the rear dual-cameras will be 20-megapixels and is expected to include optical image stabilization (OIS). On the software front, the Huawei Mate 9 is expected run on Android 7.0 Nougat wrapped under Emotion UI 5.0. In comparison, its predecessor Huawei Mate 8 was launched with a 6-inch full HD display along with a Kirin 950 octa-core processor running under the hood. The smartphone was available in three variants of 3GB RAM and 64GB RAM with storage options of 32GB and 128GB. Huawei s Mate 8 sports a 16-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera with Sony IMX298 image sensor, 1.12um pixel size, PDAF and OIS. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel f/2.4 front camera with Sony IMX179 image sensor. The Huawei Mate 8 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow wrapped under EMUI 4.0. It is powered by a 4,000mAh battery.
