Though Huawei has been busy launching smartphones, it has clearly not forgotten about its tablets. Huawei MediaPad T3 7 and MediaPad T3 8 are the two entry-level tablets quietly launched by the company. Both the tablets are currently listed on the company’s official website, and are expected to go on sale soon. The Huawei MediaPad T3, which comes with a 7-inch display, will be available in space grey and moonlight silver color options, while the 8-inch variant will be available in space grey and luxurious gold colors. The company has not yet revealed the price and availability of either of the tablets. But keeping in mind the history of MediaPad tablets, there are high chances that the tablet won t launch in Indian market.
Talking about the design, the tablets come with an anodized aluminum body crafted on top of single-piece metal giving it a premium look. At the back there is camera module and LED flash with Huawei s logo placed at the center. Up front, the tablets come with front-facing camera on top of the display, and volume and power button placed at on the right hand side. Both the Huawei MediaPad T3 and MediaPad T3 7 do not feature a fingerprint sensor.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Huawei MediaPad T3 7 features a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels, and pixel density of 170ppi. Under the hood is a 64-bit MediaTek MTK MT8127 quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz. The tablet is available in two variants — 1GB RAM with 8GB internal storage, and 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage. Both the variants offer expandable storage up to 64GB.
On the camera front, the tablet sports a 2-megapixel snapper at the back, and a 2-megapixel front camera as well. The MediaPad T3 7 is armed with a 3,100mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The tablet will also be available in the Wi-Fi-only variant. On the software front, the tablet will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI 4.1 on top of it.

Huawei MediaPad T3 8, on the other hand, features an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1,280×800 pixels. It is powered by Qualcomm MSM8917 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. Just like the 7-inch variant, this tablet also comes in two variants — 2GB with 16GB internal storage, and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. On the camera front, the tablet features a 5-megapixel camera at the rear, and a 2-megapixel on the front. The connectivity options on the tablet remain the same as Huawei MediaPad T3 7. However, the Huawei MediaPad T3 8 has two variants — the KOB-L09 that supports LTE and Wi-Fi, and KOB-W09 that only supports Wi-Fi. The tablet is backed by a slightly bigger 4,800mAh battery, and it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Huawei s latest EMUI 5.1 on top.
