At this point, a lot of smartphone manufacturers have started upgrading their recent flagships to the latest Android Oreo version. The growing list of vendors include Samsung, Essential, HMD Global, OnePlus, Xiaomi and LG. The latest to join the list is Huawei. The smartphone maker recently launched the Android 8.0 Oreo beta program for the Mate 9, Honor 9, and Honor V9. Next in line are Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus.
As reported by XDA Developers, Huawei Mobile Romania has announced that the beta program for both devices is now live, and the company is looking for beta testers for the Android Oreo update.
In order to be a part of the beta test, you would need to install Huawei’s beta app and apply from the app. After joining, you will receive an OTA update notification, which you can select to update your device to beta. Once you have tested the program a bit, as per experience, you can report issues through the app, and can also quit the beta program by sending a waiver request if you no longer wish to receive beta updates.
All the usual Oreo improvements are expected to come to the Huawei P10 duo present, like the redesigned Settings app, adaptive icons, Picture-in-Picture, and the Autofill API. In addition to that, there will also be user experience improvements like a quicker load time, and smoother animations. Users could also expect some improvements to the camera performance with the Oreo update.
