Huawei is gearing up to launch its next generation Huawei P10 smartphone, which will be the successor to the Huawei P9. While rumors and leaks of the P10 have already started to pour in, Huawei‘s senior VP Richard Yu has revealed a few features of the Huawei P10. Turns out, the company will be launching two variants, P10 and P10 Plus. He also revealed that the two smartphones will come preloaded with Amazon’s voice assistant, Alexa, and will be Google DayDream ready. According to the recent rumors, the Huawei P10 will come with a bezel-less display, which seems to be inspired by the Xiaomi Mi MIX. There have also been rumors that the smartphone could feature Galaxy S7 edge-like dual-curved display. Huawei P10 specifications
The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.5-inch dual-curved edge display with Quad HD resolution. Under the hood the smartphone is said to be powered by a Kirin 960 chipset paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM. On the camera front, the Huawei P10 is said to continue using two sensors for its rear camera. It will also be able to take photos with DSLR-like bokeh affect.
While the battery capability is not known at the moment, the Huawei P10 is rumored to come with wireless charging support. If this stands true, the Huawei P10 will be the first Huawei smartphone to boast wireless charging capability. On the software front, the Huawei P10 is expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The smartphone is expected to be launched later this year.
In comparison, the Huawei P9 flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD display, and is powered by a Kirin 955 64-bit octa-core processor. It also features 3GB of RAM, 32GB built-in storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. Armed with a 3,000mAh battery and fast charging support, it comes with connectivity options like 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 2.4G/5G, a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB Type-C port. On the software front, the Huawei P9 runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.
