Huawei created a lot of buzz around its P20 Pro smartphone, which was saw a grand launch in Paris last month. Now, the Chinese smartphone giant is all set to bring the smartphone to the Indian shores. After teasing on social media, Huawei has now sent invites for the launch event that will take place on April 24. The invite doesn’t reveal more, but has the tagline “see mooore” the same one that Huawei used during the global launch.
The highlight of the Huawei P20 Pro is the AI-assisted triple rear camera setup with support for 3X optical zoom and 5X hybrid zoom. The smartphone also comes with a full screen display with a notch design, and runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMI 8.1 skin on top. Huawei had also launched the P20 and P20 Lite, but if reports are to be believed, ‘Lite’ will be the other model launched in India, while skipping the P20.
Huawei P20 Pro, P20 Lite price in India
The P20 Pro is priced at 899 Euros (approximately Rs 72,200), and it remains to be seen how aggressive Huawei can go with the pricing in India. The P20 Lite, on the other hand, is priced at 369 Euros (approximately Rs 30,000).

Huawei P20 Pro specifications and features
The smartphone flaunts a 6.1-inch full HD+ OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. Under the hood is a AI-based Kirin 970 octa-core SoC with a neural processing unit (NPU) that can do things like object recognition, and automatic screen recognition when clicking photos. The chipset is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, but there is no option for expandable storage.
In terms of optics, one is a 40-megapixel main RGB sensor, the other is an 8-megapixel 3X telephoto sensor with and the third is a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor that helps in capturing better low-light photos with reduced noise. The Huawei P20 Pro can also achieve ISO 102400 light sensitivity, which is on par with professional cameras.
The cameras are Leica branded with apertures ranging between f/1.6 and f/2.4. The P20 Pro also lets you record 960fps slow-motion videos in HD (720p) resolution. Up front, there is also a 24-megapixel front camera for selfies, video calling and it also supports face unlock feature.
Armed with a 4,000mAh battery with SuperCharge fast charging technology, the smartphone is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance, and it misses out on the legacy 3.5mm jack. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, dual SIM card slots, and 4G VoLTE.

The P20 Lite sports a 5.84-inch full HD+ display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio. The It is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB inbuilt storage. A microSD card slot for further storage expansion is also present.
The P20 Lite comes with vertically-placed dual-camera setup at the back, which includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It lets you add DSLR like bokeh effects to your photos. Up front, you get a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The P20 Lite is seen fuelled by a 3000mAh battery, and comes with support for NFC, face recognition.
