Huawei‘s flagship P20 series is all set to make its debut today in India. Announced last month, the P20 series includes the P20, P20 Pro, and P20 Lite. In India, the P20 Pro and P20 Lite will be making their entry. Both the models will be exclusive to Amazon. The USP of the Huawei P20 Pro is its famed triple-camera setup. It includes a trio of sensors which is AI-enabled and claimed to provide astounding results irrespective of lighting conditions. The P20 Pro and P20 Lite, both feature metal and glass unibody design. There’s a new Twilight color available for the P20 Pro which changes when exposed to light. While the India pricing is not officially known, considering the international pricing, the P20 Pro could be priced approximately Rs 72,000 while the P20 Lite could cost around Rs 30,000.
Huawei P20 Pro specifications
The smartphone flaunts a 6.1-inch full HD+ OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9. Under the hood, AI-based Kirin 970 octa-core SoC with a neural processing unit (NPU) that can do things like object recognition, and automatic screen recognition when clicking photos. The chipset is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
In terms of optics, the triple camera setup includes a 40-megapixel primary RGB sensor, an 8-megapixel 3X telephoto secondary sensor and a third 20-megapixel monochrome sensor that helps in capturing better low-light photos with reduced noise.
The cameras are Leica branded with apertures ranging between f/1.6 and f/2.4. The P20 Pro also lets you record 960fps slow-motion videos in HD (720p) resolution. Up front, there is a 24-megapixel front camera for selfies, video calling. The smartphone supports face unlock feature.

Armed with a 4,000mAh battery with SuperCharge fast charging technology, the smartphone is IP67 certified for water and dust resistance. It does not come with the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. Connectivity options on the smartphone include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, dual SIM card slots, and 4G VoLTE.
Huawei P20 Lite specifications and features
The Huawei P20 Lite sports a 5.84-inch full HD+ display with 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card.
The P20 Lite features a vertically-placed dual-camera setup at the back. It includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor. It lets you add DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos. Up front, there’s a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling. The P20 Lite is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery. Other features include NFC and face recognition.
