Huawei‘s upcoming flagship smartphones from the P20 series have been leaked again, this time through what appear to be official promotional images. The images, leaked on a Dutch website, telefoonabonnement, show off the unusual triple camera setup with the two cameras placed in a single module, followed by the third camera and the LED flash next in line. The setup is vertically positioned. The images also mention the launch date of the product alongside the tagline “SEE MOOORE WITH AI”, highlighting the use of artificial intelligence by the triple cameras. What these images also reveal is the Apple iPhone X-like notch on the front panel. Interestingly, the notch is smaller in comparison and is rumored to come with the Face Unlock feature.
Based on past rumors, there will be a Huawei P20, Huawei P20 Lite, and a Huawei P20 Pro from the series. Of these three, the Huawei P20 Pro is the one likely to pack the high-end specifications, which includes the triple camera setup. It is speculated that this setup with include a combination of a 12-megapixel RGB sensor and a 16-megapixel monochrome sensor placed together, while the third will be a 16-megapixel telephoto lens. Up front, there could be an 8-megapixel camera.
The Huawei P20 Pro, also rumored as P20 Plus, is likely to sport a 6-inch (2160 1080 pixel) display, Kirin 970 SoC, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 4,000mAh battery. The Huawei P20 will most likely be the base model with a dual-camera setup comprising a pair of 16-megapixel sensors. It is rumored to pack a 5.7-inch display, an octa-core SoC, an 8-megapixel front camera, and a 4,000mAh battery.
The Huawei P20 Lite, on the other hand, is expected to feature a 5.6-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, and will be powered by a Kirin 659 SoC with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a 3,520mAh battery.
Recently, pricing of the smartphones were leaked by serial tipster Roland Quandt. According to his tweet, the Huawei P20 will be priced at 679 (Rs 54,000 approximately), the P20 Pro is expected at 899 (Rs 72,000 approximately), whereas the P20 Lite will be the cheapest of all, at 369 (Rs 30,000 approximately).
