Huawei is working on its flagship smartphone for 2018 and thanks to the rumors and leaks, we know that the smartphone will be the P20. The company has hinted that the Huawei P20 is expected to be unveiled on March 27 at an event in Paris. While not much is known about the device, a new report suggests that the smartphone will run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with EMUI 8.1 on top. In terms of design, leaked images hint at a vertically positioned triple-camera setup at the rear, going beyond the typical dual-camera setups we see on flagship smartphones today. Past reports have also suggested that the smartphone will feature a new 3D camera, called Point Cloud Depth Camera that will sit against the iPhone X 3D camera and will also aid in facial recognition. It is expected that the triple-camera setup could have a resolution of a whopping 40-megapixel along with 5X hybrid zoom, co-developed with Leica. The front camera is rumored to have a 24-megapixel sensor. But we suggest you take this information with a pinch of salt, since it’s still too early to know for certain what to expect.
In terms of specs and features, not much is known about the P20. However, considering the smartphone will be a flagship device, the smartphone is likely to be powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset. The smartphone could be available in Ceramic Black and Twilight color options.
