Huawei’s P20, P20 Pro and P20 Lite are set to be unveiled on March 27 in Paris, and we have already come across numerous leaks spilling beans about the smartphones’ design, price and specifications. Now, the Huawei P20 has been spotted on Geekbench listing, revealing that the smartphone will likely run on Android 8.1 Oreo, which is a pleasant surprise. Of course, a layer of Huawei’s EMUI 8 skin will run on top.
The Huawei P20 is codenamed Emily, and as per the benchmark listing, the device is powered by a AI-based Kirin 970 SoC. Someone managed to run it through the paces, and logged a score of 6,699 in multi-core test, and 1,878 in single-core test. In comparison, last year’s Mate 10 logged a score of 6,625 in multi-core test, and a score of 1,878 in single-core test.
All three smartphones from Huawei will come with a FullView display along with a ‘notch’ whether you like it or not. While the P20 and P20 Lite are expected to come with dual-camera setup at the back, the P20 Pro will come with a triple-camera setup. Huawei is expected to use one RGB sensor with wide-angle lens for standard photos, one monochrome sensor for better low-light photography, and a telephoto lens for portrait mode and 3X optical zoom functionality.
A leaked manual recently revealed that the P20 and P20 Pro will ditch the microSD card slot, whereas the P20 Lite will still retain it. The leaked manual also confirms that the Huawei P20 will be armed with a 3,400mAh battery, whereas the P20 Pro will come with a 4,000mAh battery.
A report on WinFuture also speculates that the P20 Lite might retail at 369 EUR which is approximately Rs 29,500, whereas the P20 will retail for 679 EUR, which is approximately Rs 54,500. The report also speculates the P20 Pro might set you back by 899 EUR which approximately Rs 72,500. Some rumors also hint at a special edition Huawei P20 Porsche design smartphone, but details are scarce at the moment.
