Huawei’s next flagship P9 smartphone has long been on the rumor mills. While there is still no word on when the company is planning to launch the P9, a massive leak has revealed almost everything there is to know about the upcoming device. Evan Blass has shared the first high quality real-life photos of the P9, which confirms features like the fingerprint sensor and the dual-camera setup at the back. As is the norm these days, the Huawei P9 too will be built with glass and metal. Surrounding the device is a metal frame, and at the bottom is the audio jack, USB Type-C port and the speaker grille. Blass reiterates that Huawei could be launching as many as four variants — the flagship P9, a premium variant, budget variant and a phablet variant.
Huawei P9 specifications and features: One of the highlights is the dual-camera setup at the back alongside a dual-LED flash and a laser auto-focus. It boasts a pair of 12-megapixel sensors and Leica-made lenses. The report says that the P9 will be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 950 SoC paired with 3GB of RAM, while the premium variant will be powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 955 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a fingerprint sensor at the back and a 3,900mAh battery.
There have been a few rumors around when Huawei could launch the P9 and it ranges from this month to early next quarter.
