Huawei has started rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo-based firmware updates for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Huawei P9 smartphones. It includes latest July 2018 Android security patch from Google for both smartphones, while the Mate 10 Pro also gets improved connection stability while using HiSuite to connect your phone to computer.
The software update for the Huawei Mate 10 Pro comes with version 188.8.131.52(C800) while the Huawei P9‘s update has version number C10B402, as first reported by TheAndroidSoul. For the Mate 10 Pro, the update with build number BLA-L09C800B160 is also rolling out in Japan, reported GetDroidTips.
The update is said to be rolling out over-the-air (OTA) for both devices. You can either wait for the OTA notification, or manually try to check for the update via the Settings menu.
While we are talking about Huawei devices, the company in India is all set to launch the Nova series of smartphones for the first time, staring with Nova 3 and Nova 3i. Both smartphones will launch tomorrow on July 26. The Huawei Nova 3 is expected to come with Kirin 970 SoC, paired alongside Mali-G72 MP12 GPU. It is likely to feature 6GB of RAM and as seen on Amazon’s webpage, might come in 64GB and 128GB storage options.

Amazon India has put up a landing page confirming the official launch date for the smartphones. Earlier this month, Huawei also confirmed that the new smartphones will be the first models in India to feature GPU Turbo support.
