Based on recent reports, Huawei seems to be actively working on a smartwatch lineup, which the company could be launching soon. While we’ve come across rumors around one of the devices, a new FCC Listing spotted by MySmartPrice now not only confirms a Huawei smartwatch but also gives more information on it.
The FCC listing in question here is said to be for a smartwatch with the model number FTN-B19, which is said to be dubbed as the Huawei Watch GT. It mentions the device to feature connectivity options of Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and even a Type-C port. A 410mAh battery is also touted, which is similar to that of the Huawei Watch 2. A 5W charging capability is mentioned as well.
The full extent of the smartwatch’s capabilities are still unknow. It’s possible that along with Bluetooth and NFC, Huawei could also be equipping the watch with Wi-Fi and cellular features. Like other smartwatches from the brand, the Huawei GT is also expected to run on Google Wear OS.
In the last few weeks we have come across plenty of leaks that have hinted Huawei to be working on not one, but a whole range of smart wearables, including the Huawei GT. A few days ago we came across a trademark application acquired by Huawei for a new smartwatch, which is said to be called Watch X. The listing has mentioned the device to come with e-SIM support.
