Huawei Wireless Charger CP60 renders, specifications leaked ahead of October 16 unveiling

The wireless charger is expected to be unveiled alongside the Mate 20-series smartphones.

Huawei is hosting an event in London on October 16 where it will be taking the wraps off the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro smartphones. Over the past couple of months, we have come across leaked renders and specifications of the Mate 20 smartphone. One of the rumors hint that it will come with wireless charging feature. Recently, a wireless charger with model number CP60 was certified by the FCC revealing few details. Now, the renders of the alleged Huawei wireless charger and specifications have surfaced again.

The photos were leaked by Twitter user @Rodent950 (spotted by GizmoChina), showing off the wireless charger from all angles. The charger has a disk-shaped design like a flying saucer, comes in white color with red line that runs across the perimeter. On the front, you also get an LED light to indicate when the powered on.

At the back, you have a USB Type-C port for power input. The leaked specifications confirm that the wireless charger has a maximum input rating of 40W (10V 4A). At the time of announcing the Honor Magic 2, Huawei also announced 40W charger called Magic Charger, and the same could be used with this wireless charger too.

Talking about the output of wireless charger, leaked specifications hint at maximum power output of 15W (12V 1.25A). However, it will be compatible with devices that support 5W, 7.5W and 10W charging.

The wireless charger is expected to charge the Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate Porsche Design and also the Huawei FreeBuds 2 Pro truly wireless headphones. There is no word on the pricing and availability of the wireless charger, but we will get more details on October 16 when it will go official.
