After launching the Y3 (2017) and the Y7 in China earlier this month, Huawei is back with yet another smartphone from its Y series. Called the Huawei Y6 (2017), the smartphone is listed on Huawei’s official website and is a successor to the original Y6 which was launched back in 2015. Prime features of the 2017-version include the camera and battery prowess. It will be available in white, gold, and gray color choices. Huawei is yet to announce the pricing and availability of the smartphone. With a unibody design, the Huawei Y6 (2017) features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, Qualcomm s octa-core Snapdragon 435 SoC is clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB of internal storage which can be further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The Huawei Y6 (2017) also features a customizable key on its side. For photography, the smartphone boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front camera. The front camera features an 84-degree wide angle lens for more inclusive selfies. While there is no word on the pricing detail, it is expected to be an affordable Android smartphone. If reports are to believed, the Huawei Y6 (2017) could be priced around 200 euros (approximately Rs 14,500).

According to a latest Gartner report, Huawei edged closer to Apple with smartphone sales amounting to 34 million units in the first quarter of 2017.
