Huawei has added an all-new smartphone to its portfolio, Y9 (2018), which boasts the edge-to-edge display and dual-cameras as its highlights. The Huawei Y9 (2018) edition not only gets dual cameras at the back but also on the front, making it an even desirable handset in line with the current industry trend.
As WinFuture reports, the Huawei Y9 (2018) has been unveiled in Thailand. Price of the smartphone is yet to be announced, however, it is likely to cost somewhere around 200 Euros (approximately Rs 16,000). It comes in three color choices of black, gold, and blue.

The Huawei Y9 (2018) is equipped with a 5.93-inch IPS LCD display offering full HD+ resolution. The display boasts 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, HiSilicon Kirin 659 octa-core SoC is clocked at 2.36GHz, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card.
For optics, there’s a combination of 13-megapixel+2-megapixel sensors at the back. Up front, there’s a combination of 16-megapixel+2-megapixel for DSLR-like selfies.
The smartphone is powered by a 4,000mAh battery. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box with Huawei’s own EMUI 8.0 layered atop. Other features include dual-SIM support and fingerprint sensor. Details on connectivity options and other features are scarce at the moment.
Meanwhile, Huawei is preparing for the launch of its anticipated P20 series of smartphones. It includes P20, P20 Lite and P20 Pro models. All the models boast the iPhone X-like notch along with dual camera capabilities. The company is scheduled to introduce the new flagship smartphones at an event on March 27.
