Back in March this year, the Huawei Y9 (2018) was launched, and now it seems the company is working on a successor. The listing, spotted by Gizmochina, shows the Huawei Y9 with a codename JKM-AL00. Looking at the specifications and features, this upcoming device seems to be a more premium version of the recently launched Honor 8X. Huawei Y9 (2019) expected specifications, features
The listing reveals that the Huawei Y9 (2019) will feature a big 6.5-inch display with FHD+ (2340×1080 pixels) resolution, and 19.5: 9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is said to be a 2.2GHz octa-core SoC, and the device will be available in two variants – 64GB+4GB RAM, and 128GB+6GB RAM. The internal storage will also be expandable using a microSD card.
For photography, the device is expected to be equipped with four cameras – two at the front, and two at the back. The camera setup at the back will feature a combination of 20-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. Up front, the TENAA listing reveals a 16-megapixel front sensor, and possibly a 2-megapixel secondary sensor for depth sensing. The front cameras could also enable Face Unlock feature for an extra layer of security.

Making sure everything ticks will be a 4,000mAh battery, and the device will run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It is set to feature dimensions of 162.4×77.1×8.05mm, and weigh 173 grams. It will be available in color options of black, pink, blue, and purple.
