Concept phones are often beautiful and awe-inspiring. Already, we have come across several concept devices with future tech like foldable displays. After Xiaomi showcasing the ‘bezel-less’ Mi Mix alongside in October, another player is all set to hit the market. Huawei is reportedly going to launch a new device in China on December 16. While the Honor Magic was earlier speculated to launch on December 7, which clearly did not happen, the phone has now been leaked in a live image, for the first time, spotted by timesnews. The image shows the front of the smartphone, conforming that the phone will come with a fingerprint scanner on the front, right under the display. Another thing noticeable is that the phone houses a very thin bottom and top bezels which might account for a whole new display-to-body ratio. Honor Magic specifications
The Honor Magic is expected to launch with high-end specifications that includes an AMOLED display, bigger RAM all this armed with a massive battery. Going by the rumors that have been doing the round, the phone will allegedly come with no camera or speaker, however, it will come with a modular system, something that was recently spotted on Moto Z and the LG G5 to include these features.
The new Honor Magic is also said to come with a curved AMOLED touchscreen made by Samsung and it is said to have a Huawei fast charging technology that will allow it to go from 0 to 50 percent in five minutes. The Honor Magic will face its biggest competition from Xiaomi’s latest launched Mi MIX. Launched with full ceramic body, the fingerprint scanner is placed at the back, just below the camera module.
It comes with 6.4-inch OLED display and runs Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB onboard storage. There is another ‘Pro’ variant with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The Pro variant has the camera ring and the fingerprint scanner ring made from 18K gold.
The smartphone is equipped with a 16-megapixel rear camera with phase detection auto-focus (PDAF), electronic image stabilization (EIS) and dual tone LED flash. For selfie lovers, there is also a front-facing camera 5-megapixel camera placed below the screen. It comes with connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE for HD voice calling, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11ac. With USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, 4,400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8.
