Ahead of IFA 2018, Sony has announced its new flagship smartphone, the Xperia XZ3. Successor to the Xperia XZ2 that was launched at MWC 2018 this year, the new smartphone comes with some minor refinements. The Xperia XZ3 comes with the same design language as the XZ2. One of the small changes comes in the form of a slightly taller display, resulting in thinner bottom bezel. Thankfully, there is no notch. But, sadly, even after all of that, the bezels on the top and bottom are still thick.
Design wise, you get 7000-series aluminium frame, front and back glass design with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, and dual front-facing (stereo) speakers. At the back, you have a single camera module, the laser auto-focus and dual LED flash module, and a circular fingerprint scanner placed at the center. Sony has also included Side-Sense feature for single-handed use. It can be triggered by double tapping the side of the device, something similar to Active Edge feature on HTC and Pixel phones.
