Speaking at a press conference, Jens Heithecker, IFA executive director was quoted as saying, My personal perspective is that IFA would be the better place (to unveil the new Note smartphone). The big advantage is that we have a lot of media and journalists from all around the world in Berlin. It is not possible to bring them all together in other cities wherever it is, in August. That’s our offer. Samsung will have the biggest presentation as well this year as far as we know, and we are very happy to have Korean industries such as Samsung, LG and other companies in our show. The expectations from Galaxy Note 8 are high, especially since the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ smartphones have lived up to theirs. After the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, it will be interesting to see how Samsung s Galaxy Note series bounces back. While details are scarce, the Galaxy Note 8 will reportedly have a dual-camera setup on the back, and also come with an improved S Pen stylus. Other expected features include Infinity Display, iris scanner, and Bixby.
