Bharti Airtel is showcasing its futuristic 5G technology based Airtel 3.0 at the ongoing India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2018. The showcase is part of the company s vision of 5G network that will bring several new possibilities under one roof. By leveraging advanced Home IoT (Internet of Things), Airtel has replicated a life size modern connected home with intelligent devices and appliances, which is powered by a 1Gbps V-Fiber link. Under the ‘Airtel Connected Home’ vision, Airtel has also showcased its upcoming Android DTH set-top-box, which as per company will bring the world of digital content to the home and will act as the home IoT gateway. The IMC 2018 booth setup by Airtel also demonstrates its in-house developed multi-screen video platform.
Not just that, Airtel also has ‘Connected Car’ on display at India Mobile Congress where a single device built by Airtel can be fitted in any car or 4-wheeler at present. This allows users to mange key parameters of the car and its functioning in real time with the help of an app.
Airtel has also set up ‘Airtel X’ labs in Bengaluru for research and development aiming in the areas of AI, IoT, AR and VR.
