Google has paid a beautiful tribute to the recently-deceased APJ Abdul Kalam. The former Indian President passed away earlier this week, and Google remembers him with a black ribbon on its homepage. As seen in the above photo, there is a black ribbon placed just under the search bar. Hovering your mouse over the ribbon pops up a message, In memory of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Dr. Kalam passed away on Monday night in Shillong at Bethany Hospital. He was there delivering a lecture at IIM-Shillong, when he collapsed and was rushed to the hospital. Dr. Kalam was aged 83.
Since the news of passing, tributes have been flowing in from all quarters, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On hearing the news, Modi tweeted,

Many also flocked to see Dr. Kalam s last tweet from earlier in the day, where he mentioned his trip to Shillong to take course on Livable Planet earth.
