Research In Motion (RIM) has confirmed to AllThingsD that some users in India, Europe, Middle East and Africa are experience delays in the BlackBerry services. The BlackBerry manufacturer, however, denies it being a system-wide outage like the one that lasted three days and eventually resulted in a global outage for a few hours. Last time’s outage also initially affected the same regions, which would point the cause of the current delay to the same server in UK that was responsible for the earlier service outage. Unlike last time, RIM has been pretty quick to acknowledge the issue and is expected to be more vocal about the status of service. We expect to hear more from RIM in the next few hours.
