Infinix, an online-only smartphone brand owned by China’s Transsion Holdings, is expanding its portfolio in India with a new launch. Called HOT S3X, the awkwardly-named smartphone succeeds the HOT S3, which the company launched earlier this year. Priced at Rs 9,999, the HOT S3X is available in three colors – Ice Blue, Sandstone Black, and Tradewinds Gray. It’ll be available exclusively on Flipkart during the ‘Big Diwali Sale’ promotion, scheduled for November 1-5, 2018.
Talking about specifications, Infinix HOT S3X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The dual-SIM smartphone also has a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion. The HOT S3X features a 6.2-inch notched HD+ display with a resolution of 720×1500 pixels and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The LCD panel is claimed to have a brightness of 500 nits and has a 2.5D curved glass protection. The HOT S3X runs Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, with Infinix’s XOS 3.3 UI overlay baked on top.
For imaging, the smartphone features a dual-camera system at the back, comprised of a 13-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. There’s also a 16-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The front camera comes with some AI-based features as well.
