Infinix Note 5 Android One smartphone with 4,500mAh battery launched: Price, features

The Infinix Note 5 will face tough competition from devices like the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 to name a few.

As expected, Infinix has launched a new smartphone today in India. Prices for the Android One-certified smartphone start from Rs 9,999, and it will be available from August 31.

Infinix Note 5 price, availability

Infinix Note 5 buyers will be able to choose from two variants. The base variant with 32GB storage and 3GB RAM is priced at Rs 9,999. The top variant with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM is priced at Rs 11,999. Color options include Milan Black, Berlin Gray, and Ice Blue.

The smartphone will be going on sale from August 31, exclusively via Flipkart. Reliance Jio customers will get 500GB of free data, and up to Rs 2,200 worth of cashback via recharge vouchers.

Infinix Note 5 features, specifications

As far as specifications are concerned, the Infinix Note 5 flaunts a 5.99-inch FHD+ (2160×1080 pixels) IPS display with 2.5D curved screen and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a MediaTek Helio P23 octa-core chipset paired with 2.5GHz. The internal memory can be expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card.

For photography, the device is equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash, and f/2.0 aperture. Up front, there is a 16-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Making sure everything ticks is a 4,500mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. There is also a fingerprint sensor for security. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and USB OTG.

Being an Android One-certified device, the Infinix Note 5 runs stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It should also be in line to soon get the latest Android 9 Pie update.
