InFocus launched Vision 3, its first smartphone with modern design language and a display supporting taller aspect ratio in December last year. Now, the company might be preparing to bring in an improved version of the smartphone that will likely feature a larger display and improved specifications.

InFocus has been teasing the launch of its upcoming smartphone on social media channels and the smartphone could be called InFocus Vision 3 Pro. There is no clarity on its specifications, but 91mobiles claims that the smartphone will be made official on April 18. It adds that the Vision 3 Pro will be an upgrade over its predecessor and will feature 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

According to an IANS report, the InFocus Vision 3 Pro will come equipped with a combination of 13-megapixel and 8-megapixel dual camera setup. It is also said to offer a 13-megapixel front camera. It adds that the smartphone will copy Nokia’s Bothie mode where users can simultaneously shoot with the front as well as rear camera using “Dualfie” feature. Following on the trend, it will also support facial unlock system, which is becoming mainstream feature on smartphones across price band.

InFocus Vision 3 Pro is said to go on sale immediately after its launch on April 18 and the smartphone could be priced under Rs 10,000. To recall, the InFocus Vision 3 was launched as one of the cheapest smartphone with thin bezel design and 18:9 display last year. It featured a 5.7-inch HD+ display and was powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 chipset. It was offered with 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage option.

The InFocus Vision 3 also featured dual rear camera system with a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel image sensors. It supported an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with portrait mode and beautification support. The InFocus Vision 3 run Android 7.0 Nougat with company’s own Smile UX on top of it. One of its biggest selling feature was the 4,000mAh battery that could last for days on a single charge.

As we noted in our review, the InFocus Vision 3 got its design and display department right but the performance was lackluster. The smartphone was slow to boot and even had issues handling multiple applications due to its low-power processor and only 2GB of RAM at its disposal. With Vision 3 Pro, InFocus might also offer improvement in the processing department which could make it a competitive device in the sub-Rs 10,000 price segment.
