Barely three days before MWC, INQ Mobile has announced its oft rumoured Facebook phones. While everyone knew it was going to be two variants – an all-touchscreen and a QWERTY – it is for the first time anyone is seeing the pictures of the phones in question. A great feat for a tiny company like INQ Mobile. Both the phones run on Android 2.2, which seems to have been heavily customised to give the best Facebook experience possible. Unless, HTC has something better to offer on Monday, that is.
The Facebook experience includes chats, messages, live updates and Facebook Single Sign On. On the specs front, both phones run on Android 2.2 (upgradeable to Android 2.3). The Cloud Touch has a Qualcomm 7227 chipset clocked at 600MHz, HSPA connectivity (7.2 Mbps/5.6 Mbps), 5.0 MP camera, 4 MB of internal memory (we hope this is a typo) and a 4GB microSD card bundled with the phone. Other features include WiFi 802.11b/g, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio, accelerometer, compass, ambient light and proximity sensors.
The Cloud Touch will be available in Q2 this year and the Cloud Q in Q3..
