Instagram has now rolled out an update that allows you to send live videos to your friends via Direct message. This new feature isn’t limited to your own live videos, but also live videos you are watching. Besides, with Direct, you can share live videos with friends as well as groups of friends. According to the official Instagram blog, you will be able to view a video while it’s currently live. Once the video ends, you will be notified that the video session has ended. Your friends watching the live video can share it by tapping the Direct icon at the bottom of the screen. The blog post further explains that users will have this option when they are going live with a friend. Once the message is sent, the live video will be seen in their Direct message inbox. If you have a private account, Instagram assures that only your followers can view your live videos. The feature is available today for both Android and iOS users.
