Intex has launched the Aqua 4G Mini, another entry-level device in its Aqua series. The smartphone has only been listed on the Intex India website, and there is no news of when will it be up for sale. There s also no word on whether it is an e-commerce exclusive device or whether it will also be made available in stores. The phone is listed on the website with a price tag of Rs 4,199. Intex Aqua 4G Mini comes with very basic specifications and in terms of design, is a simple device. The phone is available in two colors — black and red. The Intex logo rests on the back of the device.The camera lens is situated on the top-left corner with the flash just below it. On the front is the earpiece, front camera and the sensors. The phone is a no-frills device. Intex has launched multiple budget smartphones under their Aqua series and Intex Aqua Mini is the latest addition. Intex Aqua 4G Mini runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the-box. Powering the device is a MediaTek 1.3GHz quad-core SoC. The phone comes with 4GB internal memory of which, 2GB is user-available and 512MB RAM. The memory is expandable up to 32GB.
The display is 4-inch with a resolution of 480×800 pixels. Intex Aqua 4G Mini is a dual-SIM device. On the camera front, Intex Aqua 4G Mini comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front camera. The device sports a 1,450mAh battery. On the connectivity front, the device supports 4G, Bluetooth, WLAN, USB 2.0.
Intex Aqua 4G Mini will compete directly with Micromax Spark Vdeo, which goes up for sale today on Snapdeal. In terms of features, Micromax Spark Vdeo is much better equipped than Intex Aqua 4G Mini with 4.5-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB internal memory, 5-megapixel rear end camera, 2-megapixel front camera. The price difference between the two is only marginal with Micromax Spark Vdeo priced at Rs 4,499. Hogging the limelight in the entry level segment is Xiaomi Redmi 4A. The device boasts decent specifications for devices in this segment in the country with a 5-inch HD display, 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor , 16GB internal memory, 2GB RAM, 13-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel front camera.
